Who are Books Are Loud?
BOOKS ARE LOUD is a new audio publisher.
We take great new writing – novels, children’s books, poetry and non fiction - and record it. Our productions are then sold as digital downloads worldwide.

Now you can listen to work that might not otherwise see the light of day. Some of it is making its first appearance as a recording and might not be published in traditional book form. It’s an exciting time for us as publishers and we’re sure it’s an exciting way to be entertained, to learn something new and to enjoy new books ......by listening to them.

Publishing opportunities

There is something in it for every listener, from the steamy froth of Diana Bradley’s raunchy romance, Cappuccinos, to the haunting wistfulness of Tar, The Wandering – Helen Sea’s story for teenagers, told in the style of an Old Norse tale.

We’re featuring five new works of fiction available as digital downloads. One of them. Turn Up for the Book, has already started to collect five star reviews. Just follow the link below to hear a sample from all of them. We’re sure you’ll like at least one and maybe more.

We’re interested in hearing from new writers and from writers who may already be published in print but are not yet available in audio form. If you’ve demonstrated a real commitment to your writing by doing a university course - for example an MA in creative writing - then you’re probably the sort of writer we’re looking for. Really good writing will be recorded by us using leading actors and producers who are seasoned in this sort of work.

If you are looking at getting published also feel free to send an email, but please make note that we cannot accept full manuscripts being emailed to us, so in the first instance please send an email outlining your novel in no more than 500 words? And please tell us about any writing courses you have attended. If your work is available in print, please send us a small sample.
